EPOX SELECTS SIGMA'S EM8400 MPEG DECODER CHIPS.(Company Business and Marketing)

EPoX Computer Co., Ltd. (EPoX) has selected Sigma's EM8400 MPEG Decoder chip for use in their new EP-1800 Set-Top Box (STB) solution. To support production shipments for their EP-1800 STB, EPoX has placed a volume order for EM8400 chips.

The EP-1800 STB enables end-to-end deployment of Video-On-Demand services targeting Asia, United States, Australia and Europe. This new set-top box platform delivers streaming media applications, which are enabled by the Sigma's REALmagic Video Streaming Technology, comprising advanced Video-On-Demand software and MPEG decoder silicon.
