Arab filmmakers have proven that they can also make meaningful films as shown in the recently-concluded Pesaro International Festival of New Cinema. Veteran Egyptian director Tawfiq Salih was recognized at the film festival for his brilliant works which reflect an in-depth analysis of the political realities in his country.
