Don't fence me in: desktop video solutions today.(Desktop video software)

if someone asked to to distill the difference between desktop digital video today and a half-decade ago to a single phrase I'd go with this: a world without walls. Five years ago, we had linear editors and non-linear editors; analog video experts and digital video jocks; video editors who didn't make DVDs and DVD authors who didn't edit video; and professional, personal, and corporate users with little or no overlap in terms of the tools they used, the capabilities and effects they had at their disposal, and the quality and complexity of the work they produced.
