'Pirates' bring welcome news for video industry.(MARKETS)

According to Disney, by the end of its first week of release Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest became the fastest selling DVD of all time in the UK, selling nearly 1.5m units and requiring the company to order an additional 1m units of the film to meet demand prior to Christmas. The title is also expected to achieve sales of around 15m units in the US.
