Brazil's digital indie cinema network makes gains.(General)(Brief Article)

Brazil's digital independent cinema network Rain has seen strong growth since launching officially on 28 May 2004. The network will have 77 screens in 22 art-house cinemas in seven cities across Brazil by end October. The network consists of 47 three-chip DLP projectors and 30 one-chip DLP projectors for advertising. A further partnership with one more independent cinema operator is set to be concluded soon. Rain estimates that it will have 100 active screen before the end of the year. The network consists of both multiplexes and single and two-screen cinemas.
