RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 30, 1999
Play Incorporated's Trinity video production system will be used exclusively to broadcast the first images of the new millennium worldwide from Tonga, arguably the first location on Earth
The broadcast will include millennium celebrations, interviews with the King of Tonga and a special "where time begins" presentation to the islands. Forthenews was granted exclusive broadcast rights by the Kingdom of Tonga and will use Trinity to produce the event from the island. The broadcast signal will be received by the participating networks via satellite for live coverage of Tonga's New Year, as well as re-broadcasts throughout New Year's day in the United States.
"The new millennium will be a special celebration shared by countries around the world," says Stephan Bouchard, Play's vice president of business development. "We're thrilled that Trinity will be responsible for such an important broadcast on a global level."
More information regarding updated broadcast times from Tonga will be available at www.Forthenews.com.
