EA Announces The Sims 2 Special Limited Edition DVD Available Through Pre-Order Sale.

Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS), today announced that it will release a special limited edition DVD for the highly anticipated The Sims(TM) 2. The game is

the next generation sequel of The Sims(TM), the best selling PC game of all time and will be in stores by September 17th. This is the first DVD release in the highly successful The Sims franchise and initially will only be available through pre-orders at major retailers. This DVD will be available in North America only at the same price as the CD-ROM version. The Sims 2 is being developed by EA's Maxis(TM) studio and will be available on the PC under the EA GAMES(TM) brand. The official home page for The Sims 2 is www.thesims2.com.

In the award-winning The Sims 2, players for the first time will be able to control their Sims over an entire lifetime. Every choice that is made has a relevant and dramatic effect on the life of a Sim. With the ground-breaking addition of genetics, Sims now pass their DNA down through generations giving them a more vivid and in-depth Sims experience all in a 3D world.
