Music 2.0 takes place Dec. 8-9, 2004 from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. at the Hilton Universal Hotel in Universal City in Los Angeles. Record label executives, music managers, artists, professional service providers, software developers, wireless carriers, entertainment companies, device makers, manufacturers, developers and other high-level attendees will consider the future of the music industry in keynotes, panels, case studies and exclusive networking sessions.
Agenda highlights include: Fireside chats with labels and publishers, analysis of digital distribution revenue models, online and digital radio, peer-to-peer, digital rights and fights, making money from downloads, revitalizing music at retail, the mobile music opportunity, ringtones and other new revenue streams, licensing strategies and the future of the music business in the digital age.
Another highlight reprised from last year will be a live focus group featuring college-age youth discussing their music buying habits and attitudes. The audience will talk with the students, and learn about their attitudes towards music downloading, digital rights, peer-to-peer file sharing, favorite artists, RIAA lawsuits, etc.
