FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2003

Logitech (Nasdaq:LOGI) (Switzerland:LOGN) is giving fans of the Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft new choices in affordable precision controllers. At the E3 tradeshow in Los Angeles, Logitech will preview two corded Xbox controllers, the Logitech(R) Precision(TM) Controller and the Logitech ThunderPad(TM) (US suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.99, respectively). Both products will be available this summer on retail shelves in the U.S. and at www.logitech.com.

"We've been serving up award-winning controllers for more than 10 years," said Fred Swan, director of marketing for Logitech's Audio and Interactive Entertainment Business Unit. "We know that our newest audiences -- console fans -- are concerned about finding the right combination of features and price. These two new controllers give a broader range of products and prices, all with the assurance of Logitech quality and reliability."

Logitech(R) Precision(TM) Controller

Gamers will recognize the look and feel of the official Xbox-compatible Logitech Precision Controller, as it reflects the eye-catching design of Logitech's cordless 2.4GHz Xbox Controller. This corded model has a suggested retail price of $24.99 US.

From rubber grips that provide comfort for long gaming sessions, to its two proportional analog thumbsticks with 360 degrees of control, to the powerful tandem vibration motors, the Logitech Precision Controller gives gamers the comfort, control and feedback needed to help dominate the competition.

Logitech has equipped the product with eight easy-to-use analog action buttons arranged in a familiar controller layout, plus an eight-way D-pad and two triggers. The Logitech Precision Controller boasts a 9.5-foot cable for playing convenience almost anywhere in a room, and features a standard controller-port interface.

Logitech(R) ThunderPad(TM)

The Logitech ThunderPad, also Xbox-compatible, carries an affordable suggested retail price of $19.99 US, yet offers gamers a high-quality corded controller with a completely new shape and a distinguishing feature: Turbo/AutoFire.

The high-octane Turbo/AutoFire function allows gamers to fire any action button automatically without having to press the button repeatedly, which helps to eliminate tired fingers, while providing a weapon that can fire at an impressive rate. Within the Turbo/AutoFire function, gamers can choose among four different pre-programmed speeds -- and may help eliminate the competition at any pace they choose.

Similar to the Logitech Precision Controller, the Logitech ThunderPad features rubber grips, dual-analog thumbsticks and vibration feedback. Eight easy-to-use analog action buttons, an eight-way D-pad and two triggers provide an arsenal of firepower large enough to satisfy any gaming warrior. The Logitech ThunderPad uses a standard controller-port interface.
