Director To Lead New Online Ventures for Kids and Music Fans

Seibert, former President of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, Inc., and the original Creative Director of MTV, has been named President of MTV Networks Online, reporting directly to Tom Freston, Chairman and CEO, MTV Networks. MTV Networks Online will be based in New York and have satellite offices in San Mateo, CA.In his new role, Seibert is responsible for overseeing the two new online ventures of MTV Networks announced on February 23rd in Los Angeles. Project Nozzle (working title), the new registered online kids destination from Nickelodeon scheduled to launch in September 1999, and The Buggles Project (working title), a new all-genre online music destination set to launch in June 1999. Seibert will also oversee the worldwide development of MTV Networks Online businesses including managing the current industry-leading online operations MTV.com, VH1.com and Nick.com.

Prior to his new position at MTV Networks, Seibert founded Frederator Incorporated, an independent television production company where he produced animated and live action programming for MTV Networks, including the successful Nickelodeon series, "Oh Yeah! Cartoons."
Seibert served as President of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, Inc., from 1992 to 1997, where he was instrumental in reviving the financial fortunes of the studio famous for the creation of such legendary characters as The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Scooby-Doo, and the Jetsons, among others. Under his direction, the studio developed animated programs such as, "Power Puff Girls," "Dexter's Laboratory," "Cow and Chicken," and "Johnny Bravo," which are now the most successful shows on Cartoon Network.
