Gamesville, Users Are Cordially Invited to Join in the Live Online
Nuptials and Festivities
Lycos, Inc. (NASDAQ:LCOS),
Mike Richardson, age 50, a field engineer for a medical systems company, and Mary Bucy, age 45, a retired banker, began chatting in the BingoZone on Lycos Gamesville, the largest online Bingo area in the world, in between light-hearted bingo games. The couple chatted and e-mailed each other for several months and a romance soon blossomed online, but it took almost two years for Mary to build up the courage to finally meet Mike in person. Mary took the first bold step driving five hours from Maryland to meet Mike at his home in Virginia Beach. The couple claims it was love at first sight.
Mary moved to Virginia Beach to be with Mike and they decided earlier this year to get engaged. This will be the second marriage for both. Mary, divorced, is the mother of three grown children, and Mike, a widower, also has three grown kids. The couple's children and grandchildren will be in attendance for their June 24 nuptials, while hundreds of friends and other family members and fellow gamers from Lycos Gamesville will join in the live festivities online.
Users can witness Mike and Mary's vows by attending the live online wedding at http://chat.lycos.com/ or by going to the Mike and Mary Wedding Club (http://clubs.lycos.com/). Users can also post well wishes to the happy couple or send electonic greeting cards from http://www.americangreetings.lycos.com.
Following their wedding ceremony and reception, the couple will be leaving for a romantic honeymoon destination sponsored by Lycos Travel (http://travel.lycos.com), World Res and Lycos Gamesville. Mike and Mary will enjoy one week at the beautiful Sonoma Coast Villa in Bodega, Calif., located in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco. Just minutes from scenic Bodega Bay and the Pacific Ocean, the villa is known for its Mediterranean-style splendor.
