Mannatech, Inc. (Nasdaq:MTEX) GlycoScience.com: The Nutrition Science Site was recognized today as a Spring 2003 Silver Award Winner by the World Wide Web Health Awards. Mannatech's educational website was previously awarded a Merit Award from this organization in the fall of 2001.
The World Wide Web Health Awards is a program that recognizes the best health-related Web sites for consumers and professionals. The program is held twice a year -- spring and fall -- with the goal of providing a "seal of quality" for electronic health information. This year, the top awards, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit, were selected from a field of approximately 300 entries.

The World Wide Web Health Awards is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials. These Web-based health awards are an extension of the HIRC's nine-year old National Health Information Awards (NHIA), the largest program of its kind in the United States. Last year, there were nearly 1,000 NHIA entries from hundreds of organizations.
A panel of international health information and Internet experts judged entries based on accuracy, success in reaching the targeted audience and overall quality. To ensure equal review of all sites at the same time, judges reviewed all entries during a five to six week period.
