Comcast to FCC: merger will save $1.9B. (Late Breaking News).

Comcast Corp. expects to reap up to $1.9 billion in annual cost savings and additional revenues within five years of its merger with AT&T Broadband. The $1.9 billion would include $250 to $450 million a year in programming savings and another $200 to $300 million in corporate overhead and improved operating margins. The details were revealed late last week in a 102-page merger application and public interest statement Comcast and AT&T filed jointly with the FCC.
