SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 21, 1999--

AcuComm, a value-based xDSL provider of broadband Internet access solutions for the commercial multi-tenant building market, and C-SPEC, a leading provider of high performance wireless network solution, today announce a joint marketing

partnership.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will collaborate to bring an end-to-end wireless-copper based high-speed Internet access solution to service providers. Joint Marketing relationship brings benefits of simplifying end-customer broadband traffic management and aggregation to high-speed point to point and point to multi-point Wireless access networks.

The two companies have successfully completed interoperability testing between C-SPEC's OverLAN(R) Wireless Bridge / IP Router family of products and AcuComm's iPOP(TM) Internet access iDAC platform.

OverLAN(R) Wireless is a family of high performance wireless networking products designed to connect geographically dispersed nodes to a local area network at speeds up to 10 Mbits/sec. It gives service providers the proven spread-spectrum radio technology for very reliable high-speed data transmission.

IDAC platform integrates new technologies for Internet access, IP based high-speed streaming, and voice over IP applications. The iDAC platform provides a comprehensive set of bandwidth management, routing and xDSL data transport features within a compact, auto-configuring platform. The iDAC platform works seamlessly with OverLAN wireless access network infrastructures. Immediate applications include multi-tenant buildings, industrial park complexes, hotels, and campus environments.

"This partnership is the first step in AcuComm's strategy to bring broadband Internet access and IP based applications to broadband users," said AcuComm president, Yudhi Trisno. "AcuComm's iDAC platform is uniquely suited for broadband IP applications because of its unparalleled functional integration such as built-in dynamic traffic shaping and Quality of Service features for individual users"

"This joint marketing agreement enhances the overall presence and potential of the OverLAN Wireless Product line in the ever growing Internet Service Provider market" according to Brian Hoehner, CEO of C-SPEC Corporation.
