SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1999--
Shorecliff Communications Inc., the leader in educational and networking events for the broadband wireless industry, today announced it has sold-out all the major sponsorship categories for the annual conference and expo, Broadband Wireless World Forum 2000.
The event is to be held March 14 & 15, 2000 in San Francisco.
The show, which is the largest conference and expo devoted exclusively to the emerging broadband fixed wireless industry, has already attracted leading fixed broadband wireless service providers, licensees and technology suppliers.
Alcatel USA, the signature sponsor for the conference, will showcase multi-megabit per second wireless access technology in the conference segment of the event, as will Platinum-level sponsors Ensemble Communications, Nortel Networks, Triton Network Systems, WavTrace and Cisco Systems.
Keynote speakers include Buddy Pickle, the COO and President of Teligent, Inc., Steve Hooper, Co-Chairman of NEXTLINK Communications and Robert Finch, Vice President of Strategic Development of the UUNet Group at MCI Worldcom.
Media sponsors for the show include leading industry publications RCR, Telephony and America's Network magazines. Allied Business Intelligence is supporting the conference with strategic research.
"This is the first internationally-recognized event exclusive to service providers and technology suppliers charged with the delivery of broadband services over fixed wireless networks - in both licensed and unlicensed spectrum," said Timothy Downs, Vice President of Shorecliff Communications Inc. and the Event Director.
"The 1999 edition was by far the largest industry gathering. With the support we have received from leading corporations, media and service providers, we expect the Year 2000 World Forum to have even greater attendance. The technology demonstrations from Alcatel and the Platinum sponsors will be a highlight of the conference," Downs added.
Additional corporate sponsors include Harris Corp., Hughes Network Systems, Ericsson, Netro Corp., IBM, Giganet, Spike Technologies, WinNet MCS, General Dynamics, Bridgewave, IoWave, Cable AML and more.
