segment, will become president of the continuing Conexant. Lewis C. Brewster, senior VP of sales, has been appointed executive VP COO of the company, responsible for sales, quality and operations. While J. Scott Blouin will become Conexant's CFO, and remains a company senior VP.

Scott Allen, VP of communications, and Michael Vishny, senior VP of human resources for the broadband communications segment, have been promoted to senior VPs of their respective functions for the continuing company.

Rhodes, Blouin, Allen and Vishny will all report to Dwight W. Decker, Conexant's chairman and CEO. Brewster will continue to report to Rhodes.

The new appointments will become effective when the spin-off of Conexant's Internet infrastructure business, Mindspeed Technologies Inc., is completed on June 27.
