Advent's Ultraband platform provides scalable, dedicated bandwidth of up to 40 Mbps to any subscriber on a coaxial plant. The Ultraband system is complementary to existing cable technologies and service offerings. Advent's technology can be deployed into cable networks without disrupting service. The Ultraband system requires no outside plant modifications and is based on standard QAM modulation within the existing cable spectrum.

The USR 4400, a compact version of Advent's USR 8800, is ideal for HFC plants where spectrum is limited because it maximizes spectral efficiency by reusing frequencies throughout the plant. A USR 4400 supports up to 64 subscribers, each with a 2.5 Mbps downstream, 500 Kbps upstream dedicated IP connection. The USR 4400 has an ROI of 14 weeks, based on Advent's list price, allowing cable operators to generate profits quickly.
