Argentina's Movicom Moves Wireless Internet To Market.(Company Business and Marketing)

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina--The land of the Pampas and the gaucho is undergoing the same changes that have spread throughout less exotic climes. And though so far the population's uptake of a new mobile Internet offering is light, high wireless penetration rates in this Latin American country promise profits down the road.

With a commercial service launch two months ago, Argentina's Movicom-Bell South became South America's first wireless phone carrier to offer mobile Internet service.

Although by most accounts usage remains relatively light, Movicom considers
