Aug. 29--France Telecom's internet arm Wanadoo has sparked a potential price war in the UK by offering a super-fast, one-megabit internet connection for UKpound 17.99 (E27, $33) a month, almost half its rivals' price.
The price cut is designed to attract customers ahead of new services such as internet telephony and digital television, which will run over existing phone lines.
