Telecommunications markets in Egypt.(SPECIAL FOCUS: EGYPT)

The Egyptian telecommunications sector is a vibrant market, growing at 25 percent annually. Since the end of 2005, a gradual deregulation of this sector has taken place. Currently, there is one incumbent fixed-line operator, Telecom Egypt (TE), and three GSM operators, Mobinil, Vodafone Egypt, and Etisalat. Of these three GSM operators, two use 3G/3.5G broadband technologies.
