China Telecom to Invest Less in 3G Network than Expected

HONG KONG, Sep 07, 2004 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Chang Xiaobing, president and CEO of China Telecom Co., Ltd. (HKSE: 0728), the listed subsidiary of China Telecom Group, reveals that the company will take a cautious stance on the construction of 3G mobile telecommunication networks after it obtains the 3G operation license and the investment is certainly much less than the former estimation of insiders.
