BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 1999--

Registry Magic(R)(NASDAQ:RMAG) today announced it has hired John Falcone as Vice President of Development.

"Falcone has the technical experience and managerial skill to lead the development team and extend the product line into

new areas of opportunity," said Bruce Carlsmith, Interim CEO. "I look forward to working together."

Falcone joins Registry Magic from The Hartford Insurance Group (NYSE:HLI), where he was most recently Director of Infrastructure Services and Internet Strategy. He has led large development teams responsible for the development of new applications in support of new businesses, including Intranet based applications for managing information flow from multiple sources to widely distributed users. At Registry Magic, Falcone will hold overall responsibility for the Virtual Operator(R), line extensions, and new products.

The Virtual Operator is an award-winning telephone solution that uses proprietary speech recognition technology that listens, understands, and responds to a caller's conversational request. Capable of answering multiple calls simultaneously, the Virtual Operator eliminates placing callers on hold and allows callers to reach an employee or department quickly by just saying their name without the need for inefficient touch-tone menus. Internationally, where touch-tone technology may not be prevalent, the Virtual Operator can provide voice activated telephone automation enabling advanced applications not available by other means.
