Triple Play Services Have Helped the French Adoption of Broadband Increase by 75%.

DUBLIN, Ireland -- Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c34486) has announced the addition of the eMarketer report: French Connections: The Triple Play Triumphs to their offering.

France has opened its formerly monopolistic telecommunications market to competitors,

and other countries are watching the result. "Triple play" services have helped push broadband adoption to more than 75% of all French Internet users--the highest in Western Europe. Up to 40% of all French consumers will soon be using VoIP and IPTV is also on the rise.

The French Connections report looks at the results of France opening its formerly monopolistic telecommunications market to competitors.

The offering of Internet access, IPTV, and VoIP from the same provider is known as a "triple play." Some triple play providers offer the services discretely, and others offer all three as single-price bundles.

The next several years will see a market-share race to see who can provide these services to the most customers. The race will be global, but France is expected to lead the way on triple play adoption. Already, thanks to its competitive market, three out of the top 10 broadband providers in Western Europe now are based in France.

Key questions the "French Connections" report answers:

--How many French consumers will get their phone and television service from an ISP?

--How will this affect existing revenue streams?

--How can established players avoid disintermediation in this environment?

--How will ISPs market services effectively when those services are commodities?

--To what extent will other markets follow the French pattern of triple play proliferation?

--And many more...

The French Connections report aggregates the latest data from leading international marketing and communication researchers with eMarketer numbers, projections and analysis to give you the comprehensive range of information you need to stay on top of fast-moving e-business developments.
