Interview Opportunity, Product Showcase, Continuing Education Presentations

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Draeger Medical is celebrating 100 years in ventilation at the 2007 American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) Congress from December 1-4, 2007. The conference will take place at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL. As part of its ongoing celebration, Draeger will showcase the Pulmotor, the first-ever mobile short-term respirator, alongside the newest version of the EvitaXL ventilator.

At the conference, Draeger will host a series of lectures, including several by clinicians from Intensive Care Online Network (ICON). Using ICON's video conferencing technology, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to lectures and interact with the presenters through question and answer sessions. In addition, attendees will be eligible to receive AARC-approved Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credit for attending the ICON lectures. Furthermore, ICON will be presenting IISIS, a powerful Web-based software, which displays ventilator data from the EvitaXL ventilator.

Draeger will also be promoting the SmartCare[TM] option for the EvitaXL ventilator, with demonstrations of the technology throughout the conference. A knowledge-based system, SmartCare is the latest and most advanced in a series of Draeger Medical innovations for the management of mechanical ventilation in Intensive Care Units. An optional feature of the EvitaXL ventilator system, SmartCare is a knowledge-based ventilation system developed to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ventilator weaning process. SmartCare integrates automated, protocolized care into ventilation weaning. Upon completion of an introduction to the SmartCare option for the EvitaXL ventilator, Draeger will present attendees with an Evita Trainer. This real-time simulation tool was created to educate respiratory therapists on the use and handling of the Evita series.

Key executives will be on hand to discuss the Draeger philosophy of continuous innovation, seamless integration and comprehensive services.
