Telerx hires 150 associates in Wilkes-Barre

Telerx, the service bureau that specializes in customer care, has hired more than 150 new associates since the start of the year.

"We have had an overwhelming response to our recruitment efforts," said Amy S. Abrams, president of the company. "We've added highly qualified supervisors, program managers, client services professionals and customer service representatives ... bringing our current workforce in WilkesBarre to 295."

Still, Telerx is continuing its efforts to recruit customer service representatives. Over the next several months, the company will hire 40 more communicators who will answer incoming consumer contacts via phone, mail, e-mail, the Internet and fax.

"We will be looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills, the ability to identify with and respond to the emotional needs of consumers - as well as an interest in food, health or pets," continued Abrams.
