E-Pub Secures $7 Million Placement.

NEW YORK and LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 1998--

Company's Stock Offering a Success in Volatile Market

E-Pub, which produces UPROAR -- the Internet's leading online game show site -- announced today that it closed $7 million in new financing through the placement and issuance

of 60,000 new E-Pub shares traded on the Vienna Stock Exchange.

The placement was managed by ICE Securities Ltd. of London and follows a $5 million placement managed by ICE last year. In addition to increasing advertising expenditures, E-pub intends to use the funding to expand European operations and add more game shows to its UPROAR sites.

"This placement proves that not only does E-Pub have the right business model -- it proves the value of online game shows as an entertainment medium," said Michael Simon, CEO and founder of E-Pub and UPROAR. "Large, top-flight investors committed to E-Pub's future this week because the UPROAR product has continuously demonstrated measurable success."

The additional funding will help E-Pub support its global expansion. UPROAR is already the leading producer of online game shows in the U.S. and U.K. and has just announced a major strategic alliance with Bertelsmann that will help E-Pub leverage its growth in Germany. The additional capital allows the company to aggressively enhance the design of its game show products and focus increased resources on marketing initiatives.
