Nextel Taps Richmond, Va., Agency to Promote NASCAR Series.

Feb. 13--When the biggest names in auto racing start prowling for communications experts, they frequently make a pit stop in Richmond.

Last year, NASCAR tapped The Martin Agency to handle its advertising.

This year, Nextel Communications Inc. hired a Richmond firm to handle public relations for NASCAR's premier racing series.
