Attraction Marketing and your Home Business

By now you've probably heard about "Attraction". You know, the "Law of Attraction" from the movie and book "The Secret". Much of subject matter centers around the concept of Attraction based marketing and on broader ways to use Attraction to get what you want. If this all seems 'mystical' to you, it's really very simple as it applies to a home based business. It boils down to being clear on what you want and focusing on attracting what you want. One of the criticisms about the movie "The Secret" is that it makes it seem like you can just wish for things and they'll somehow just appear.

There's really a bit more to it. I mean sometimes it might work like that, but most of the time when you want to attract something (like customers), you'll have to take some sort of action to go along with your focus. Attraction Marketing as it applies to a home based business would then have the added caveat that you need to take some action. Actions you could take might include such things as starting a blog, doing press releases, doing something newsworthy, speaking at events, sponsoring community events, and so forth.
