Online UK ads reach ten per cent market share.(ADVERTISING)(Brief article)

Internet Advertising Bureau UK (IAB) has revealed that online advertising spending in the UK amounted to 917m [euro] in first half 2006. In line with expectations (see 2006/332), this represents a 40.3 per cent increase over first half 2005, in an otherwise flat UK market. Online now accounts for 10.6 per cent (up from 7.3 per cent) of all UK media advertising--one of the highest market shares in the world.
