According to a recent research study by the Graphic Arts Marketing Information Service (GAMIS), "The Status and Future of Direct Mail," direct mail is projected to grow at 4 percent per annum through 2003 and at about half that rate in the following years.
Direct mail represents $29 billion in US expenditures, accounting for 11 percent of total advertising expenditures of $264 billion.
Len Kubas, project director for the direct mail study, stated that "although growth is projected, it's at a much slower rate than we've seen over the past 10 years and it certa
