DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq:DCLK), the leading provider of tools for advertisers, direct marketers and web publishers, today announced the winners of its first annual Insight Awards,

which recognize outstanding marketing campaigns in the categories of online advertising, email and multi-channel marketing.

The award winners were presented at DoubleClick's annual industry conference, Insight, which concludes today in New York City.

Open to all agencies, direct marketers, and publishers, this year's Insight Awards received over 100 campaign entries, which were presided over by industry experts from more than 20 organizations.

The Best Online Advertising Campaign

This award honors campaigns that demonstrate the effective use of advertising on any form of interactive media. Campaigns are judged on strategy, breakthrough creative, innovative use of technology and campaign results.

The winner in this category is TBWA/CHIAT/DAY for its Absolut Rich Media campaign, which was successful in creating brand awareness for Absolut and driving traffic to five specific Absolut online sites.

The runner up in this category is Digitas for its American Express Blue for Music campaign. The goal of the campaign was to raise brand awareness and generate excitement via rich email technology, by streaming a television-like experience right into the recipient's email browser.

The Best Email Advertising Campaign

This award honors innovative and effective uses of email to communicate with and market to customers. It covers all forms of email marketing and advertising, including viral ad campaigns and promotions.

The winner in this category is Trahan, Burden & Charles Inc. for its Wall Street Journal's Career Journal.com: Hide While You Seek campaign. Recipients of the CareerJournal.com flash email campaign were invited to disguise the "job-seeking executive" by clicking and dragging costume pieces provided, driving home the idea of confidential resume submission.

The runner up in this category is Carat Interactive for its Palm i705 Launch campaign, which introduced the new Palm through a series of email campaigns with messaging tailored to specific user segments. By pre-introducing the Palm i705 through an email campaign, Palm was able to obtain pre-orders at a low introductory rate.

The Best Multi-Channel Marketing Campaign

This award honors campaigns that were delivered in more than one type of media in an integrated manner. Judges looked for successful integration of digital media with offline marketing.

The winner in this category is Fallon with its BMW: The Hire campaign, whose goal was to gain relevance with a younger affluent customer base by creating a series of short films directed by and starring A-list Hollywood talent.

The runner up in this category is Digitas for its Roots of Peace.Org campaign, which was a series of pro bono Web sites created to raise awareness for this organization and the work it does to eradicate land mines around the world.
