COMMISSION TO PUBLISH EUROPEAN CONSUMER GUIDE

The European Commission is planning to bring out a European consumer guide to the Single Market. The 150-page document, due to appear in January and which will eventually be published in all the EU languages, was presented by way of a preview on December 8 in Brussels by European Commissioner Christiane Scrivener, during the EU Council of Consumer Affairs Ministers . It will be distributed free of charge to consumer organisations and institutions, family associations, various services and information centres, etc. and is not therefore likely to be distributed directly to the final c
