Excite@Home, the Redwood City, Calif.-based portal and broadband service provider, today launched "My Videos," a new Web-based application that allows users to create, store and send electronic video greeting cards and video e-mail.

My Videos is powered by VideoShare, a Watertown, Mass.-based end-to-end application service provider that enables end-users to create and add video to Web-based communications.

"This represents the first real foray into allowing users to enhance their communication using self-created or self-selected video," claimed Gerry Brown, VideoShare's vice president, video development.

My Videos will be available free of charge via Bluemountain.com, Excite's greeting card site, and Excite Inbox. From either location, users can download Video Producer, which enables them to import video from Webcams, camcorders or existing digital files.
