Chris Baggott on Email Newsletters and Marketing

Thursday, February 8 2007

This morning Patsi and I interviewed Chris Baggott from Exact Target about email and ezine marketing.  He has some interesting insights to share.  Though we couldn't get too far into it, his position is that far and away, HTML email is better than plain text.  But, if you ask any Internet marketing guru who make millions on the Web, they will tell you to forget HTML and go for plain text only as the deliverability is better.

Patsi and I publish both.  What are your thoughts on this debate?  HTML or plain text?  Hmm.  Maybe this would be a good poll.

The audio from the program is posted on Blogging and Beyond.
