Learning Resources for Packaging and Design

Apart from displaying important information, packaging for products has become an important sales tool. By using creative illustration, color, typography, and even materials, your product can stand out from all the other competitors on the shelf.

There are many resources that provide vital

information on effective packaging and design, as well as the relationship between advertising and management. Many good books and magazines are dedicated to design. The Internet is also a great resource. Search for packaging, design, corporate identity, branding, and advertising.

A creative product name or a catchy tagline can also create infinite possibilities for successful advertising campaigns. You might get some ideas from looking at advertising campaigns by creative agencies such as Goodby, Silverstein Partners (the brains behind the “Got Milk” campaign), and Weiden and Kennedy; it did the original Nike ads.

An iconic package goes a long way toward effective advertising. Good design speaks volumes about your product. In the best cases, the package says it all in advertisements.
