Purchase, N.Y.—Tennis star Maria Sharapova signed a multiyear deal with PepsiCo to represent Gator- ade and Trop-icana in up- coming campaigns. Analysts put the deal at $1 million per year. The tour pro now earns an estimated $30 million annually via alliances with Prince, Canon, Colgate, Nike, Tag Heuer

and Land Rover. "Not only is Maria Sharapova one of the world's best athletes, but she exemplifies a healthy lifestyle both on and off the court," said PepsiCo svp Ron Coughlin. Agent Max Eisenbud at IMG, Cleveland, handles.
