A tricked-out Honda Civic Hybrid will be along for the ride when the Black Eyed Peas kick off their latest tour March 23rd. Featured in the Peas' new Pump It video, the custom Civic
Hybrid is also the grand prize in a sweepstakes built around the group's tour. Fans can enter to win the ride by logging on to www.hondacivictour.com. On the site, fans can also find tour news and interview clips. The Peas' Civic will be showcased at each concert venue, where on-site kiosks will ease sweeps entries.
MovieBeam Goes In-Store
To Pitch New VOD Service
The video-on-demand arena got more crowded last week as MovieBeam, Burbank, Calif., unveiled its VOD service. MovieBeam's Linksys-branded set- top box is capable of storing 100 movies and costs $199 with a rebate offer. Rentals cost $3.99 per title for new
releases the day they're released on
DVD; other titles run $1.99. High-
definition movies are $1 extra. To promote the service, MovieBeam will
install four-foot endcaps in BestBuy stores in 29 cities. Print ads and radio spots will break next month. Creative
is handled in-house. Disney, Cisco, and Intel are among the investors backing MovieBeam.

Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus last week reviewed Kellogg's "Race to the Bowl" campaign for Apple Jacks cereal and determined that "kids could take away the message that apples are bad for them and are to be avoided as a breakfast food." Kellogg said the ads are no longer running and that changes in future ads will include dropping the moniker "Bad" from the ad's "Bad Apple" character . . . A federal court jury in New Orleans on Friday rejected a claim that short-term use of Merck's painkiller Vioxx played a role in the 2001 death of a Florida man. It is Merck's
