Once, Twice, Thrice On 500

For the third consecutive year, Barber Martin & Associates in Richmond, Va., has made the Inc. magazine roster of the 500 fastest growing, privately held companies in America.
The list includes companies showing exceptional and outstanding growth. The magazine employed certified public accountants to verify the information using tax returns and financial statements from 1992 through 1996.
"It's an honor to be part of the Inc. 500 list one year, but to make the list three years in a row makes all of us at Barber Martin especially proud," said agency executive vice president and partner Bill Martin.
Barber Martin reports current billings at $44 million and has a staff of 60. Among its clients are Heilig-Meyers Furniture Stores, the Richmond Rage women's professional basketball team, the City of Fredericksburg, Va., and the Virginia Peninsula Economic Development Council.
