Forget trendy lofts,slick office towers and cavernous warehouses.

Mouse Design Studio in Roswell, Ga., mightbe on to the next hot real estate trend: sharing space witha co-tenant.

MDS creative director Ashley Wade Parker has moved his three-person staff into a freestanding, prefab building on a four-lane highway of the Atlanta suburb. They are sharing the facility with Sandblasted Signs.

Parker said he had wanted a work environment that would give him the visual edgenecessary to succeed.

The shared space, some 5,000 square feet, accommodates the sign maker's large projects and everyone's dogs, but privacy appears to be at a premium. And everyone's a critic.

"With the four of us and a staff of fabricators and carvers, every project is a team effort," said MDS marketing and business-development manager Theresa Brown.
