David, Garcia Merge PR Practices
DALLAS John P. David of John David PR and Julio A. Garcia of Julio Garcia Marketing and Public Relations have formed David & Garcia PR, the shop said.
David, 37, and Garcia, 36, will each retain the title of partner at the Miami public relations agency.
The four-person firm will specialize in PR and marketing communications services, specifically media relations, David said.
Prior to opening John David PR in 1998, David was a group supervisor at Rubin Barney & Birger, where he managed the firm's corporate account team. Before starting Julio Garcia Marketing and Public Relations in 2002, Garcia served as a direct marketing, writing and media relations specialist at a Florida shop.
"Julio and I have worked very closely together in the past, and our combined experience and areas of expertise make for a very strong partnership," David said. "We're bringing experience and firepower from implementing national PR programs to the local market."
David & Garcia PR represents clients in the financial, real estate and healthcare sectors.
