ATLANTA Marriott International has inked a deal with WestWayne to serve as its national field-marketing agency, the client confirmed. The Atlanta shop prevailed over Baltimore's Eisner Communications for the estimated $2 million assignment.

"We needed an agency

that can help pull through our brand identity at the local level," said Deborah Fell, svp for the Washington-based client. "WestWayne demonstrated that they have the talent, energy and commitment to Marriott's field organization and franchisees."

Independent WestWayne will develop collateral materials and direct mail campaigns for the Marriott Hotels and Resorts, JW Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites brands for use by the local markets.

The account will be managed from WestWayne's Tampa office and will be led by account director Amy Hiles-Maynard.
