DALLAS Blanchard Schaefer Advertising has been awarded advertising duties for JPS Health Network, an integrated healthcare system.
The Arlington, Texas, shop won creative and media duties of the Fort Worth, Texas-based client following a review with undisclosed
contenders from across the country, according to BSA principal Ken Schaefer.
The client had been handling advertising internally since June, when former incumbent Grey of Dallas closed shop.
BSA is charged with developing the client's brand identity across its network, which includes John Peter Smith Hospital and the MetroWest Health Plan.
The shop has retained strategic partner Cinco Media Communications of Dallas to assist in all aspects of its Hispanic market campaigns.
BSA plans to break its first campaign for JPS in April. Media outlets will include outdoor, TV, print and online. Since JPS is owned and operated by the Tarrant County Hospital District, campaigns will be primarily focused in the Fort Worth area.
BSA, which formed a new business division specializing in healthcare clients in February, also handles the accounts of GHN Online, a billings management group, EMEDS, a continuing education company for medical professionals, and EmCare, an outsourced emergency room services provider.
Billings for the JPS account are undisclosed.
