NEW YORK-- TBWA\Chiat\Day laid off about four percent of its New York workforce on Thursday. The reason was to keep staffing in line with revenue, sources said.

The cut, which amounted to eight jobs, came nearly three months after an earlier round of layoffs, in which

17 staffers lost their jobs (Adweek, May 28).

The latest cut affected several departments, according to an agency representative. The New York staff now numbers 216, the rep said.
