BOSTON--Mullen has added advertising chores, which includes creative and media duties, for Simms Fishing Products.

Simms had most recently worked with Barnhart/CMI Advertising of Denver, Colo. The business -- estimated at $5 million initially but expected to grow --

moves to Mullen, based in Wenham, MA, without a review.

Mullen was tapped mainly because of the client's past relationship with agency svp/group creative director Jim Hagar, who oversaw creative work for Simms several years ago when he was with Jackson, Wyo., agency Riddell Advertising & Design.

Upcoming work for Simms, a global marketer of waders, boots, jackets and related gear, will be largely print and designed based; TV may also be in the mix, Hagar said.
