HUNGARY: Construction contract award for planned $115,000,000 high-density polyethylene (HDPE)...

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local TISZAI VEGYI KOMBINAT RT (TVK) is currently gearing-up to expand its high-density polyethylene (HDPE) production capacity. In so doing, TVK has now selected MITSUI CHMICALS' Hi-Zex process technology. In addition, the company recently awarded the construction contract to Japan-based MITSUI ENGINEERING & SHIPBUILDING (MES).

According to the terms of the award, MITSUI will be responsible for building a complex with an installed production capacity of 200,000 metric tons per year of HDPE. The new facility, to be sited at Tiszaujv
