Self-cleaning and electronic textiles from BASF at Techtextil/Avantex.(Fabrics)

At the forthcoming Techtextil/Avantex 2007 (Frankfurt, Germany, 12-14 June), BASF says it will display a number of solutions for technical textiles based on projects with selected partners.

One of the highlights of the BASF exhibit (Hall 3.0, B79) will be self-cleaning textiles. If a drop of honey, for instance, falls on the surface of a fabric treated with Mincor[R]TX TT it will contract to form a blob and pearl off or can be washed off with a sprinkle of water, rather than sticking to the surface, BASF claims.
