Amper, Politziner & Mattia of Edison, N.J. admitted Richard Colloca as an officer. He specializes in services to mid-size companies in the manufacturing, wholesale distribution and services industries. He is also director of the firm's food services group. AM&P has FY04 net revenue of $41.91

million, 42 officers, 264 total staff and six offices.

Mark R. Williams joined Clifton Gunderson as the national managing partner of growth strategies and partner-in-charge of the firm's Milwaukee office. Williams comes to CG from Ernst & Young, where he was managing partner of the Milwaukee office for eight years and partner-in-charge of the office in Schaumburg, 111., for 10 years.

Christopher M. Allegretti was named managing principal and CEO of Hill, Barth & King, based in Boardman, Ohio. He's the firm's first managing principal in its 55-year history. Allegretti will have primary responsibility for the firm's day to day operations while assisting the executive committee on long range initiatives. Principal Phillip L. Wilson, CPA, was named COO of the firm. He joined the firm in 1987. HBK has FY03 net revenue of $29.2 million, 38 principals, 166 total staff and 16 offices.

KPMG admitted 160 new partners - nearly 40% more than the 115 new partners admitted in 2003. Also, Bruce Pfau joined KPMG as vice chairman of human resources and a member of the management committee. He joins KPMG from Washington-based Watson Wyatt, where he was national practice director for organization effectiveness. Pfau will be based in Montvale, N.J., and succeeds Kathy Hopkinah Hannan, who becomes Midwest area MP for tax services. She is based in Chicago.

Nykiel Carlin & Co. of Schaumberg, 111., admitted Jerome E. Brand and Catherine M. Schwiegel to partnership. Both are assurance services specialists. Previously, both were principals. Jon Hoffmeister was promoted from manager to principal, a position the firm describes as "partner in training." NC&Co. has 12 partners, more than 80 total staff and four offices.

Reznick, Fedder & Silverman, based in Bethesda, Md., renamed itself Reznick Group. The firm admitted Jeanne Peterson as coprincipal in charge of the firm's office in Sacramento, Calif. She is responsibile for client service, staff development and leading the practice's growth. Previously, Peterson was executive director of California's Tax Credit Allocation Committee, which administers the state's federal and state housing tax credit programs. The firm has FY03 net revenue of $90.1 million, 52 partners, approximately 700 total staff and five offices.

RSM McGladrey appointed David M. Pierce as president of RSM McGladrey Wealth Management. He is a 16-year veteran of Prudential securities. Patrick Brown was appointed to the post of southeast regional coordinator of audit and accounting. The southeast region consists of the firm's Carolina and Florida offices. Most recently, he was a partner in the firm's office in West Palm Beach, Fla. In other news, RSM McGladrey named Joseph Mazza as Managing Director of the Year. It's the highest honor the firm bestows. Mazza is a general services practice leader in the firm's Pasadena, Calif., office. Finalists for the award were Robert Shriver, leader of the national IT practice in St. Paul, Minn., and Jamie Woell, a general services managing director based in Minneapolis.

Cathey Barry joined Smart and Associates of Devon, Pa., as a tax partner. She will be responsible for corporate tax planning initiatives for domestic and foreign operations, due diligence, tax compliance and corporate governance. Previously, she was with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Smart has FY03 net revenue of $42.5 million, 32 partners, 329 total staff and seven offices.

Karen R. Kleinhenz joined Skoda, Minotti & Co. of Mayfield Village, Ohio, as partner and president of Skoda, Minotti Financial Services. Previously, she was executive vice president and head of KeyCorp's Retirement Services. SM&Co. has FY03 net revenue of $12 million, 12 partners and 68 total staff.

Marjorie Bailly joined Stonefield Josephson of Santa Monica, Calif, as an officer. She is based in the San Francisco office. She specializes in manufacturing, technology, apparel and retail. SJ has FY03 net revenue of $18.5 million, 24 partners, 99 total staff and four offices.

Thomas G. Scharf was appointed chairman of the management committee at Walthall, Drake & Wallace of Cleveland. Richard H. Cause was appointed to the committee. WD&W has net revenue of more than $5 million, nine partners, 48 total staff and two offices.
