Print on demand marking: a print on demand marking system for direct part marking of metals is...

A stress-free electrochemical process, Print on Demand, is being offered as an alternative to laser marking of metals. Capable of marking serial/part numbers, date and batch codes, 2D data matrix codes, logos and graphics direct to metals, the system employs stencils. Users can produce their own stencils as and when they need them using 100-mm or 200-mm wide stencil paper, a 300 DPI thermal transfer printer and proprietary software from Universal Marking Systems Ltd (UMS).
