Hartford Concrete Products Inc. is celebrating its 70th year in business. Started in 1936 by the Schantz family as a manufacturer of burial vaults and septic tanks, the company was the first precast concrete producer in the nation to achieve dual certifications from the National Precast Concrete
While burial vaults are no longer in the Hartford City, Ind.-based producer's product portfolio, precast products that service the water management, transportation, general construction, and telecommunications markets continue to contribute to its growth.
"The company is poised to introduce new products to a targeted cross-section of construction market segments this year that will continue to profitably grow our market share and presence," says J.D. Collins, president and CEO.
