Leading exhibition acquired.

Hanley-Wood LLC, Washington, D.C., has purchased A/E/C Systems International from Penton Media Inc. A/E/C Systems produces 2 trade shows serving the architectural, engineering, and construction industries.

These shows are the premier technology events for architects, engineers, and

contractors with as many as 20,000 attendees. A/E/C Systems Conference and Exhibition, launched in 1980, is held in June for architects, engineers, and contractors seeking technology solutions for design, construction, ownership, and management of commercial and government buildings. A key component of the A/E/C Systems Conference and Exhibition is an extensive seminar program covering topics such as architecture, business management, construction, engineering, facility management, and residential technology.

In 2004, the event will be renamed as the Technology in Construction Conference and Exhibition, and it will be co-located with the World of Concrete show in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 16-19. Positioned as a show within a show, the new Technology in Construction event will offer expanded conference activities and access to the World of Concrete audience while still maintaining the specific market focus that has created success in the past.
